Electronic BookCase™
Electronic BookCase™ (EBC) is a CICS electronic reference library application utilizing the DOCU/MASTER™ full-text search engine.
Electronic BookCase is a full-text searchable, electronic reference library system for dissemination and access of company, departmental, and industry information. EBC uses a book metaphor for users to either search across an entire library of information for specific criteria or full-text content, or locate information via more traditional Table of Contents viewing. EBC allows user to create bookmarks for frequently accessed information or annotate electronic data with user specified remarks.
Electronic access to up-to-date, consistent company, departmental and industry information provided in an intuitive, easy-to-find format within OS/390 and VSE operating environments. EBC reduces the distribution and updating cost of paper-based information while ensuring that the most current information is available for reference and use. EBC can be accessed directly from within existing CICS applications, thereby making for a seamless reference facility within current operational systems and workflows.
