Walnut Creek, CA - Document Systems, Inc. (DSI) today announced the release of DOCU/MASTER 6.0.  DOCU/MASTER, one of the first contextual search technologies ever developed for the IBM zSeries platform, continues to be an integral component of organizations needing mainframe-resident advanced search and content management capabilities.

The main enhancements in this release include direct browser access and an HTML interface to DOCU/MASTER; improved support for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) initiatives; and document PDF creation and email delivery.  In addition, all DOCU/MASTER 5.X maintenance, including any CICS TS and/or zVSE support, has been incorporated into this release.

Direct browser access to DOCU/MASTER eliminates the need for 3270 terminal emulation software and provides users with an HTML interface.  The new DOCU/MASTER PDF creation and email delivery interface(*) simplifies the printing, viewing and distribution of DOCU/MASTER content.   With DOCU/MASTER's enhanced ECM capabilities, you can utilize the DOCU/MASTER search engine to support access to structured and unstructured data across multiple mainframe databases and content repositories.  (DOCU/MASTER XML, priced separately, enables XML delivery of DOCU/MASTER content for integration with any web or server application or portal environment.)

DOCU/MASTER 6.0 is available to all current full-maintenance customers at no additional charge.

Walnut Creek, CA  - Document Systems, Inc. (DSI) has entered into an exclusive reseller relationship with HostBridge Technology, an innovator in web connectivity software for IBM mainframe CICS applications.  As part of the relationship, DSI will create and market the VSE version of the HostBridge CICS-to-XML solution and provide related services in North America.   HostBridge is a Patent Pending software solution that allows enterprises to take a quantum leap forward in integrating their existing CICS transactions into scalable e-Business and e-Government applications.  HostBridge is the first solution for securely invoking existing CICS transactions via an HTTP request and delivering their output as an XML document - not a 3270 screen.

“Extending the HostBridge solutions to the VSE market will provide this user community with the same kind of capabilities normally found only in the MVS marketplace.  Providing better access to enterprise data via intranets, extranets and the Internet by employees, partners, and customers is critical to implementing meaningful e-Business and e-Government initiatives for the VSE community” states Ed Hollshwandner, CEO of Document Systems.  “Doing so requires a more robust, scalable and cost-effective approach to legacy application and data integration over `screen scraping' techniques.  HostBridge for VSE will drastically reduce the cost and complexity of integrating CICS transactional systems into next generation web-based systems.”

“HostBridge for VSE allows an organization to continue to utilize and leverage its VSE applications while delivering meaningful, cost-effective e-Business and e-Government solutions at a fraction of the time and cost of other approaches ” adds Russ Teubner, founder and CEO of HostBridge Technology.

DSI will release HostBridge for VSE to select customers beginning 1Q2002 in advance of its general release at the WAVV 2002 conference in Fort Mitchell, KY.

DSI delivers XML and HTML version of O*NET 3.1 and NAICS data to support WIA system implementation

Walnut Creek, CA  - Document Systems, Inc. today announced availability of O*NET 3.1 and NAICS data in XML and HTML formats for inclusion in state Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and other state systems. These data sources are being used for the capture and reporting of occupational and employer classification information and will replace the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), Standard Occupation Codes (SOC), and Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) coding currently used by most state employment security organizations.  In addition to being available in XML and HTML formats for inclusion in web-based Internet and intranet systems, the O*NET 3.1 (also called O*NET-SOC) and NAICS data sources include cross-walks to DOT and SIC codes to support transitioning of existing information to these newly mandated reporting structures.  DSI also provides O*NET 3.1, NAICS, DOT, and SIC databases in its full-text searchable DOCU/MASTER ® system for use and inclusion in IBM mainframe system used by state Job Service and Unemployment Insurance organizations.

“While there has been an enormous effort to create and deliver web-based, self service WIA and One-Stop systems, many of these systems have lacked the ability to adequately identify and capture necessary occupational and employer information for state and federal reporting purposes. This low cost service will allow any organization to incorporate this data directly into these new systems” comments Ed Hollshwandner, Document Systems’ CEO.  Enterprise pricing starts at $1,995.
